Your Notifications¶
Aimee.ai keeps everything that needs your attention in one place: the bell in the top bar of every page.
Accessible to: everyone with an account.
Not the same as chat notifications
This page covers what you see inside Aimee.ai. To send alerts out to Slack, Teams or a CRM webhook, see Notifications & Integrations.
The notification bell¶
The bell sits in the top-right corner, next to the help icon. A dot appears on it when you have something unread.
Click it to open the list. Each entry shows what happened and, where relevant, links straight to it - clicking a forum mention takes you to the exact reply you were mentioned in, and marks it read.
You can also Mark all read from the top of the list to clear the dot in one go.
Reading something doesn't lose it. The list shows unread items first, and Show read notifications at the bottom brings back everything else you've received - so a mention you clicked last week is still there.
What arrives here¶
| Notification | When you get it |
|---|---|
| Forum mention | Somebody typed @yourname in a forum post |
| Service announcement | The Aimee.ai team posted a site-wide notice, such as planned maintenance |
More kinds will be added over time; they will all appear in the same list.
Service announcements¶
When the Aimee.ai team needs to tell everybody something - most often that maintenance is scheduled - it appears two ways:
- as a banner across the top of the page, above the sidebar, so you see it without opening anything;
- as an entry in the bell, alongside your other notifications.
The banner is colour-coded: blue for general information, amber for planned work such as a maintenance window, and red for an active problem.
Dismissing an announcement¶
Click the ✕ on the right of the banner. The banner will not come back for you, but the announcement stays in your bell for as long as it is active - so if you dismiss it and later want the details, open the bell.
Announcements disappear on their own once the period they cover has passed.
Read the times carefully
A maintenance notice tells you when Aimee.ai will be unavailable. If you have a course to finish, complete it before the window opens - your progress is saved as you go, but you will not be able to sign in while maintenance is running.
