Profile¶
Your Profile is where you manage how Aimee identifies you - your name, email address, username, profile picture, password, and personal preferences.
Accessible to: Everyone with an Aimee.ai account.
Opening your profile¶
Your profile sits behind the avatar in the top-right of every page. Click the avatar, then choose Profile from the menu. The same menu has the Sign out action.
The Profile page is split into three tabs across the top - Profile, Security, and Preferences.
Profile tab¶
Edit your personal details:
- Display name - how you appear to other people in your workspace (course authors, reviewers, classmates on the forum).
- Email address - where Aimee sends notifications, password resets, and invite confirmations.
- Username - your alternative login handle. You can sign in with either your email or your username.
- Profile picture - your avatar.
Edit a field and click Save. Aimee confirms the change with a tick.
Updating your profile picture¶
- On the Profile tab, scroll to the Profile picture card.
- Click Choose image and pick a square photo from your computer (PNG or JPG).
- Aimee resizes the image automatically and replaces your avatar everywhere it appears - the top-right menu, forum posts, members lists, and so on.
- To go back to the default initials avatar, click Remove.
A photo isn't required
If you don't upload a picture, Aimee shows the initials from your display name in your workspace's brand colours. That's a perfectly good default.
Security tab¶
Change your password from here:
- Type your current password to confirm it's really you.
- Type the new password twice.
- Click Update password. Aimee signs your other devices out for safety.
If you've forgotten your current password, sign out and use Forgot password? on the login screen instead.
Preferences tab¶
- Time zone - controls how Aimee shows dates and times to you (assignment due dates, session timestamps, audit-trail entries). Pick a specific zone, or leave it on Use my browser's time zone to follow whichever device you're logged in on.
Click Save to apply.
