Learner¶
The Learner role is for trainees - the people who complete AI simulation courses and receive scored feedback.
What can a Learner do?¶
- Open My Learning from the sidebar to see all assigned courses
- Browse the Course Catalog and self-enroll in published courses
- Launch AI simulations and complete conversations
- Resume courses from where you left off
- Pass a Knowledge Check quiz to complete courses
- Retake completed courses from the catalog
- View debriefs with score breakdowns and recommendations
- Track assignment statuses (assigned, in progress, completed)
- View the Dashboard with personal metrics
- Post and reply in the workspace Forum - ask a question, follow a thread, mark your own thread resolved
How to complete a training course¶
1. Access My Learning¶
- Log in to Aimee.ai
- Click My Training Portal on the dashboard, or click My Learning in the sidebar
2. Browse the Course Catalog (optional)¶
You can self-enroll in courses without waiting for a trainer:
- Click Course Catalog in the sidebar
- Browse published courses or use the search bar
- Click Enroll on any course
- The course appears in your Learner Portal assignments
3. Review your assignments¶
My Learning shows all courses assigned to you:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Course | Name of the training simulation |
| Status | Current status (assigned, in progress, completed) |
| Due Date | Deadline, if one was set by your trainer |
| Attempts | How many times you've attempted this course |
| Score | Your best score (once completed) |
4. Launch a simulation¶
- Find an assignment with status Assigned or In Progress
- Click Launch (or Resume Course if you've started before)
- Work through the course's slides, scenarios, matching exercises, and acknowledgement blocks using the bottom navigation bar
- Use the chat panel to ask questions about the material
- When ready, click Complete Course to start the knowledge check
For a full walkthrough of the course player - including resource downloads, matching activities, and acknowledgement blocks - see Learner Portal.
5. Knowledge Check¶
Before completing a course, you must pass a quiz:
- Click Complete Course - the chat panel opens
- The AI asks a short set of multiple-choice questions (typically three; the exact count is set by your trainer) based on the course material
- Answer each question by typing A, B, C, or D
- Score about two-thirds correct or better to pass
- If you pass, the course is completed and scored
- If not, you can review the material and retry
6. Review your debrief¶
After a session is scored:
- Navigate back to the Learner Portal
- Click on the completed assignment
- View your Debrief which includes:
- Overall score and pass/fail status
- Per-criterion breakdown (e.g., Empathy: 85%, De-escalation: 70%)
- AI feedback - qualitative comments on your performance
- Recommendations - actionable next steps to improve
Passed?
If your score meets or exceeds the pass threshold set by your trainer, the assignment is marked as completed. Congratulations!
Below threshold?
If you scored below the pass threshold, you may be able to retry the simulation (depending on the retry limit). Check the assignment details for remaining attempts.
Tips¶
Read the brief carefully
The learner brief contains critical context about the course. Understanding the situation before launching leads to better performance.
Take it seriously
AI simulations evaluate how naturally and effectively you communicate. Treat them like real conversations, not a test to game.
